Safilo Group buoyed by Polaroid Eyewear acquisition in first half
Italian Cheap oakley sunglasses for sale giant Safilo Group SpA has announced its latest results for the primary 50 % of 2012, boosted


by the acquisition of Polaroid Eyewear.

From the first half a year of the season, Safilo achieved net sales of €613.3 million, as compared to €603.3 million in the same amount

of 2011. Operating profit reached €51.2 million and net totalled €21.5 million.

The time scale taken advantage of the consolidation, originating in the 2nd quarter of 2012,

from the newly acquired Oakley Sport Sunglasees business, that the company called "an integral element towards Safilo’s development strategy in the specialist and value-for-money

segments".

The primary half has also been influenced because of the appreciation on the US Dollar along with the effect in the phase-from the Armani Group licenses.

Inside

the second quarter, group net sales recorded an expansion of 7.3%. The underlying organic Garrett blog sales performance, excluding the consequence with the purchase of Polaroid, the forex

trading impact, the impact in the Armani phase- out and discontinuation of Balenciaga, Nine West and Valentino, showed a positive development of +6.1%.

Roberto Vedovotto commented: “Your second quarter of 2012 represented for Safilo an additional leap forward. The results achieved are in line with our expectations and

consistent with our plan.

"Safilo improved operating performance, in comparison to the first quarter of the season. The net budget is a the lowest level over the last decade,

notwithstanding buying of Polaroid Eyewear.

"Where our industrial strategy is involved, we have reached a contract with Unions, that will encourage the group to carry on to

work in a competitive market by having an efficient, lean and flexible manufacturing footprint.

"Throughout the period, we confirmed our technique of consolidation and

enhancement on the brands portfolio, using the acquisition of Cheap oakley sunglasses  plus the long-term renewal in the partnership with Hugo Boss Group, considered one of Safilo’s

important and prestigious licensed agreements.

"These steps represent further evidence that we remain dedicated to our vision of selective portfolio approach and management,

within the back in the actions already integrated therein direction in the past.”
Key financial performance

Sales to the period were also characterised by the positive

impact in the US Dollar revaluation and also the negative impact of the progressive phase-out of your Armani Group licenses.

From the second quarter of 2012, group net sales

reached €324.6 000 0000, up +7.3% in comparison with the other quarter of 2011. In the period, revenues for the Oakelysunglass  wholesale business increased by +6.7%, reaching €301.2 million as

compared to €282.3 million last time.

The retail business, represented because of the Solstice stores in the US, recorded sales of €23.4 million compared to €20.3 million from

the same quarter of 2011.

Retail sales climbed by +15.3% at current currency and +3.3% at constant currency thanks to the +6.3% like-for-like store performance. Right at the

end of June, the network was developed up by 137 stores (143 right at the end of March 2012 and 158 right at the end of June 2011).
